gcompris-sound-zhcn software package provides Chinese sound files for GCompris, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcompris-sound-zhcn
gcompris-sound-zhcn is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcompris-sound-zhcn package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcompris-sound-zhcn *
You will get with gcompris-sound-zhcn package name, version, architecture and description in a table
